Well, we had a session and a mission at the last, fantastic, intense Bookcamp Kosmopolis organized by the CCCB_Lab crew: to explain this project and also to produce a small-quick festival about poetry and fiction using Twitter. At the end we produced this new pliego with also room for gathering some of the best tweets that day.

New pliego: El almohadón de plumas

Horacio Silvestre Quiroga Forteza (31 December 1878 – 19 February 1937) was an Uruguayan playwright, poet and (above all) short story writer.

He wrote stories which, in their jungle settings, use the supernatural and the bizarre to show the struggle of man and animal to survive. He also excelled in portraying mental illness and hallucinatory states. His influence can be seen in the Latin American magic realism of Gabriel García Márquez and the postmodern surrealism of Julio Cortázar.

El almohadon de plumas (“The Big Feather Pillow”) is one of his most known and popular short stories.
